Woman Rescued At Crown Memorial State Beach In Alameda

She was pulled from the water....although not without grief to her saviors.

ALAMEDA, CA —Fire and police rescue swimmers pulled a woman described as combative from the water at Crown Memorial State Beach in Alameda Thursday night, according to the fire department.

Rescue swimmers were able to get the woman out of the water and into an Alameda Fire Department ambulance, according to a tweet sent by the fire department. The incident happened in the waters of the Bay off of Shoreline Drive near Park Street, the fire department said.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, according to the tweet.
