Berkeley School Threat Not Credible: BUSD

Districts around the Bay Area and across the nation received email threats on Tuesday.

BERKELEY, CA — Berkeley Unified School District, along with other districts around the Bay Area and across the nation, including Pleasanton and Dublin, received anonymous emails on Tuesday that claimed that multiple explosives had been planted inside of schools.

The district contacted the Berkeley Police Department and the FBI, but the threat is considered not credible. The Berkeley Police Department reports they are in contact with other government agencies regarding this incident, including the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC), which is investigating the emails.

Additionally, the district confirmed that no suspicious activity was reported by the night security team.
