The former San Jose State University football player was last seen at a shopping center after officers spoke with him, police said.

DALY CITY, CA — An East Bay family is urgently seeking the public's help to find a 28-year-old Berkeley man and former San Jose State University football player who vanished last weekend in Daly City, according to a report by NBC Bay Area.

Hadari Darden was last seen at the Skyline Plaza shopping center in Daly City, raising concerns among his loved ones since he has no known ties to the area, NBC Bay Area reported. He was last heard from on Saturday after attending a hair appointment in Oakland, but he never returned to his Berkeley home or showed up for work at Kaiser on Monday, according to NBC Bay Area.

Darden was a four-year contributor on the SJSU football team, starting six games in 2020 with 25 tackles and two tackles for loss. In 2019, he appeared in all 12 games, notching 30 tackles. He started the final five games of 2018, averaging 5.6 tackles per start, and redshirted in 2017.

Darden's uncle, Steven Jefferson, said the community is rallying to find the missing man.

"Everybody is looking for Hadari right now. We all love him and we want him home," Jefferson told NBC Bay Area.

Darden was last seen wearing a black hoodie and green joggers and carrying an Army-colored backpack, police said.

Click noted her son recently had a change in behavior but has never disappeared before, NBC Bay Area reported.
