16-Year-Old Boy Dies After Stabbing In North County

OCEANSIDE, CA – A 16-year-old boy died Tuesday after being stabbed in the chest in the area of Mesa Drive and Cinnamon Way, the Oceanside Police Department said in a statement.

After the stabbing, which took place around 5 p.m. in a parking lot adjacent to Martin Luther King Jr. Park, the victim was taken to Tri-City Medical Center but died just after 11 p.m., police said.

The victim’s identity has not yet been made public.
