Crews Halt Brush Fire Near SR-76 In North County

VISTA, CA — Firefighters halted the spread of a brush fire Thursday afternoon near eastbound state Route 76 in Vista.
The blaze, called the Spur Fire, burned near Spur Avenue and Hutchinson Street, according to Cal Fire San Diego.
The fire scorched about 15 acres before crews stopped the spread. No structural damage or injuries were reported.
