CHP Investigating Freeway Shooting Near Carlsbad: Report
I-5 near Carlsbad closed for an hour Thursday morning after a shooting.
CARLSBAD, CA — The California Highway Patrol Oceanside branch is investigating a shooting that took place Thursday morning in Carlsbad, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
The shooting was reported around 9 a.m. on northbound I-5 near Cannon Road, Carlsbad police Sgt. Nate Horton told the Union-Tribune. Northbound lanes of I-5 near Carlsbad, from Cannon Road to Tamarack Avenue, were closed down for about an hour while CHP Oceanside investigated, according to a tweet from Carlsbad police.
No injuries were reported, Horton told the Union-Tribune.
