Chef Aaron Arko will create a Julia Child Tribute Dinner for Carlsbad Beach Bistro.
Arko met the famous chef at a book signing in La Jolla. Arko recalled, “Julia Child gave me quite a bit of advice that I still use to this day. It was special and unforgettable.”
In celebration of Child's birthday, Chef Arko will create a three-course French meal showcasing Child’s Coq au Vin. The dish is a slow-braised chicken in red wine with fresh herbs, mushrooms and bacon lardoons. A classic French onion soup will be served along with a dark chocolate mousse with a shot of espresso.
