Legoland California Extends Coronavirus Closure Until April 15

The closure affects the Carlsbad-based theme park, water park, Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland Hotels.​

CARLSBAD, CA — Legoland California extended its temporary closure Friday until at least April 15 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The closure affects the Carlsbad-based theme park, water park, Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland Hotels.

"The health and safety of our guests and our staff remains our top priority and we'll continue to follow the safety measures recommended within the federal, state and CDC guidelines," the announcement said.

Visitors with reservations on or before April 14, 2020, can reschedule to a later date without penalty or additional charge excluding the month of July 2020 and Dec. 26, 2020, through Jan. 3, 2021. Those with reservations can also cancel for a full a refund.

"Please be assured that we will work with you to reschedule or cancel your reservation without penalty, even if you aren't able to reach us prior to your scheduled arrival date," the announcement said.
