Pedestrian Killed By Hit-And-Run Lexus Driver In Vista

San Diego County Sheriff's Department investigators are looking for the driver of a while Lexus who killed a man on East Vista Way Saturday.

VISTA, CA — Police on Sunday were looking for the driver of white Lexus who struck a pedestrian in Vista and left him to die in the road.

According to Sgt. Hernan Gonzalez of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, a white Lexus sedan, possibly an IS300, was going southbound on East Vista Way when it struck a man as he was crossing the street Saturday night.

The crash was reported at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, and paramedics arrived on the scene at East Vista Way and Arcadia Avenue to find the victim lying in the street. He was rushed to Palomar Medical Center Escondido, where he was pronounced dead at 12:05 a.m. Saturday, said Gonzalez.

According to investigators, the white Lexus sedan was last seen fleeing northbound on East Vista Way toward Fallbrook.
