San Diego County Sheriff's Department: Deputy Involved Traffic Collision In Poway

The Poway Traffic Division along with the Sheriff's Traffic Accident Reconstruction team (S.T.A.R.) is investigating a two- vehicle collision that involved a Sheriff's Deputy. The collision occurred on November 11, 2021 at approximately 3:27 pm at the intersection of Community Road and Poway Rd. The other vehicle involved in the collision with the Sheriff's vehicle, a Nissan Rogue, was driven by a 28-year old female who had five children inside the SUV, all under the age of 10- years old. Two of the children were transported to Rady Children's Hospital for non-life- threatening injuries. The driver was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital, also for non-life- threatening injuries.
