Resident Hospitalized After Assisted Living Center Fire
The fire was reported at 4:17 a.m. Friday. Sprinklers put out the flames before firefighters arrived.

CHERRYLAND, CA — One resident of Landmark Villa Senior Residential & Assisted Living center in Cherryland suffered smoke inhalation in a fire early Friday morning. The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
The Alameda County Fire Department responded to the cooking fire at 4:17 a.m. The building's sprinkler system doused the flames before firefighters arrived.
Water damage is reported in the room where the fire started and the room below it. The fire started on the third floor.
