Imperial Beach Pier Closed, Evacuated
- The pier off Evergreen Avenue in Imperial Beach was closed and evacuated due to reports of a suspicious device.

- There were no injuries and only minor damage to the plane, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Motorcyclist in Escondido High-Speed Chase Facing Charges
- The rider reportedly traveled along city streets before ditching the bike off Don Lee Place near Auto Park Way in Escondido.

- Jesus Perez, 26, was wanted in an October shooting at a party in Spring Valley.
Beware of Scams, San Diego County District Attorney Says
- “Don't fall for it,” District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis said.
- Robert Walsh, 37, faces four counts of wire fraud in connection with a scheme to defraud a homeowners association of $247,000.
- A fire dispatcher said the home is now uninhabitable.
- A 24-year-old man from Oregon died after driving off the side of State Route 94.
Man Arrested in Killing Near Oceanside High School
- Pablo Mendoza was booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder Sunday evening.
