Janine Thalblum Appointed To Dublin City Council
Thalblum is filling the seat left vacant by the late Don Biddle.

DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin City Council on Monday night appointed Janine Thalblum to the city council. Thalblum filled the seat left vacant by the late Vice Mayor Don Biddle, who died in February. Biddle died at the age of 80 after a brief battle with cancer.
"I am very humbled and honored to fill the seat of a man who did so much for our city," Thalblum told Patch.
The council voted unanimously to appoint Thalblum, who was immediately sworn in. The longtime Dublin resident is an Army veteran, and currently serves on the City of Dublin Parks and Community Services Commission.

During her three years on the Commission, she has served as Chairperson and Vice Chairperson. Previously, she was appointed to serve on the City’s Commercial Development Task Force. She is also a graduate of Dublin’s leadership academy, "Inside Dublin," as well as the Dublin Police Services Citizens Academy. She is a former President of Dublin Rotary Club.
Councilmember Melissa Hernandez was appointed Vice Mayor at the March 20 the council meeting.
