Overturned Truck in Fremont Snarls Traffic
Mission and Stevenson boulevards are closed due to the crash. Police ask drivers to avoid the area.

Police this morning are advising motorists to avoid a portion of Mission Boulevard in Fremont for the next few hours because of an overturned tractor-trailer affecting traffic. The call came in at 10:26 a.m. for an overturned truck in the vicinity of Mission and Stevenson boulevards, according to police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.
The driver was able to get out of the truck and appears to have suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening, Bosques said. The overturned truck may be leaking fluids and its contents are currently in the roadway, Bosques said.
“It looks like there’s large piles of scrap metal,” she said. There may also be more than one vehicle involved in the accident, but further details were not immediately available, according to Bosques.
