Earthquake North Of Healdsburg Shakes Sonoma, Napa Counties

SONOMA COUNTY, CA— A magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck north of Healdsburg at 3:39 a.m. Thursday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake in northeastern Sonoma County struck less than a mile from The Geysers, 4 miles from Cobb and 22 miles north of Santa Rosa, the USGS said.

It was felt in Healdsburg, Napa, Geyserville, Calistoga and Roseville, more than 80 miles away from the epicenter, according to responses reported to the USGS.

Two minutes later, at 3:41 a.m. Thursday, a 2.4-magnitude earthquake was also recorded at The Geysers.

No injuries or damages were immediately reported in the quakes.
