LAKE COUNTY, CA— A magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck late Wednesday night near Anderson Springs, just east of the Lake County/Sonoma County line, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was recorded at 11:30 p.m. and was centered 1.2 miles southwest of the town of Anderson Springs in the Mayacmas Mountains, about 20 miles north of Santa Rosa and 20 miles east of Geyserville, at a depth of 3.4 miles.

The quake was felt in Napa, Sebastopol and Fremont, the USGS said.

It was recorded 15 minutes after an 8.2-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Alaska, about 900 miles west-southwest of Juneau.
