LA's South Bay had a busy week. Take a look at some of the top stories nearby and countywide.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA – It's been a busy week for LA's beloved South Bay. In Redondo Beach, a 19-year-old was charged with the murder of his dad. A preliminary investigation determined that during a family dispute, the teen allegedly shot his father, Frank Finocchio Jr., with a shotgun, police said. Finocchio Jr., 46, died at the scene.

A jury didn't buy a kinky sex defense in a Gardena man's rape and murder trial – he faces up to 300 years in prison for the murder of a woman and rape of three others in bondage-style motel encounters. (Warning: the details of the case are violent and graphic in nature)

The Hermosa Beach Police Department is hosting a Community Safety Fair coming up on June 9. This year's theme is "Hide It, Lock It, Keep It,” which is an educational program to inform residents about the measures they can take to help prevent thefts and other property crimes, Police Chief Sharon Papa said.
