- An 18-year-old man driving a sports car was traveling southbound on northbound I-805, causing a fiery pileup in the Miramar area.

- An indictment filed Tuesday in San Diego accuses the couple of misusing campaign funds and filing false campaign finance records.
- Kevin Miles Talbott, 31, is accused in the Jan. 14 death of Zubayr Phahez and faces 26 years to life in prison if convicted.
Woman Found Dead Inside Crashed Vehicle Near Sycuan Casino
- A hiker came upon the crumpled gold Lexus ES300 roughly a half-mile from the southern terminus of Sycuan Road, officials said.
Man Arrested After Allegedly Kidnapping Girlfriend's Son In Vista
- Deputies found an empty vodka bottle in the man's vehicle. He displayed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol, officials said.
Man Escapes Fiery Crash Into Utility Pole In Escondido
- The vehicle knocked down a utility pole, then burst into flames in Escondido, police said.
3-Year-Old Falls From Second-Story Window In University City
- A child was hospitalized after falling backward through the window screen of an open second-story window, police said.
- Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash, officials said.
Man Arrested After Hourlong Police Pursuit In San Diego County
- The chase went through San Diego, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, Rancho San Diego, National City, Chula Vista and Otay Mesa, police said.

- Estevan Montelongo, 41, faces 110 years to life if convicted in the death of 28-year-old Michelle Hashtani.
Deputy Accused Of Groping Women Arraigned On New Charges
- Twenty women have filed lawsuits against Richard Fischer, 32, in civil court, alleging that he assaulted them while on patrol.
Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Car On I-5 In National City
- The fatality forced a closure of the northbound lanes of the interstate in the area for about two hours.
- It happened shortly after 9:45 p.m. Sunday on westbound state Route 94 near Lemon Grove Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
