Illegal Alcohol Sales In Livermore: Police Issue 3 Citations

A cashier at Walmart, the owner of Discount Liquor, and a cashier at Los Caporales Taqueria were cited during a police sting.

LIVERMORE, CA — A police sting operation targeting Livermore businesses that illegally sell alcohol products to minors netted three citations, according to the Livermore Police Department.

The Dec. 6 operation conducted by Livermore police used undercover decoys — ages 17, 18 and 19 years old — who were under LPD supervision. The decoys attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages at 25 businesses across the city, three of which sold to the minors.

A cashier at Walmart (Las Positas Road), a cashier at Los Caporales Taqueria (First Street) and the owner of Discount Liquor (S. L Street) were each cited for selling alcohol to a minor, according to Livermore Police Officer Arturo Rosas.
