Popular Livermore Dog Statue Discovered by Railroad Tracks

The statue, which donated to the city's public art program earlier this year, may have been moved during an attempted theft.

LIVERMORE, CA: A bronze life-sized Labrador retriever statue was recently found near the railroad tracks behind Ising's Culligan Water on Railroad Avenue, according to the East Bay Times.

The Times reported that the wayward statue, which was discovered early in the morning on May 21 by one of the city's public works employees, was likely stolen.

The "Sunday with Jessie" statue is now back on the sidewalk in the 2300 block Railroad Ave. near the CREAM ice cream shop.
