Search for Lake Del Valle Drowning Victim Canceled
Emergency crews have been at the lake searching for Raghavendra Indugula, 31, since he disappeared in the water Friday night.

The search for a man who went missing after a boat he was in capsized in Lake Del Valle on Friday evening has been called off, East Bay Regional Park District officials said.
“Search was called off today but might resume tomorrow,” East Bay Regional Park District spokeswoman Carolyn Jones said.
San Francisco resident Raghavendra Indugula, 31, was boating for a team-building activity with co-workers in the lake south of Livermore when he disappeared in the water.

East Bay Regional Park District spokeswoman Carolyn Jones said it was reported that the boat he was in capsized at about 7 p.m. Friday. When everyone jumped from the boat and swam to shore, Indugula went missing, Jones said. Employees with the San Francisco-based cloud computing company Salesforce were being shuttled across the lake in multiple groups and the capsized boat was the final shuttle.
The boat was over capacity when it started to fill up with water, Jones said. She said the area of the lake where people leaped out of the boat and Indugula went missing reaches depths of up to 50 feet, making it particularly difficult for dive crews to conduct searches. The crews searched Saturday, Sunday and Monday for the entire day, Jones said.

According to Jones, Indugula was not wearing a life jacket.
