LOS ANGELES, CA — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up all the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Southern California’s top stories, let's see what kind of weather we can expect heading into Memorial Day weekend. The week will start out with more unsettled weather, and the thunderstorms that doused the mountains and inland valleys with rain, hail, thunder and lightning Sunday might continue into Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday is expected to be the warmest day of the week with daytime highs forecast to be 74 degrees in Los Angeles, 68 degrees in San Diego, 87 degrees in Banning, 73 degrees in Mission Viejo and 65 degrees in Laguna Beach, according to the National Weather Service.

However, the warmup won't last long. Starting Tuesday, daytime highs in the mid to upper 60s can be expected across Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties with only slightly warmer temperatures inland where the daytime high will hover in the mid-70s in Banning heading into the holiday weekend, according to the weather service.
