• A Feat Rarer Than Climbing Everest Earns Mill Valley Honors (patch.com) — Mill Valley residents are celebrating architect and endurance swimmer Michael Heacock, who was officially honored by the City Council for completing the prestigious Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming. Living in Mill Valley since 2008, Heacock has also helped shape beloved local spaces like the Mill Valley Lumber Yard, earning praise for both his athletic feat and his contributions to the community's character.
   

• PG&E beefs up monitors to its power lines to reduce wildfire risk (record-bee.com) — PG&E is upgrading the Alto substation to boost power capacity for Mill Valley and Southern Marin, with completion expected by August 2027. The utility also detailed extensive undergrounding, line upgrades, and wildfire-prevention work across Humboldt, Mendocino, Sonoma, Lake, Napa, and Solano counties aimed at reducing outages and fire risk throughout its North Coast service area.
