The win, played Wednesday at Tam High, reinforces Tam's title hopes and highlights strong performances from several Mill Valley-based Red-tailed Hawks as league playoffs approach.

Though this year's demonstration is centered in Colorado Springs, the Mill Valley performance shows how local classrooms can blend STEAM learning with fun, creative watershed lessons.
   

4. In the funny business: Marin family has produced comedy shows for nearly 50 years (marinij.com) — Mill Valley comedy fans will recognize Throckmorton Theatre's legacy in this look at the Fox family, who've run the San Francisco Comedy Competition for nearly 50 years. Their Marin-based operation has helped launch major comics and continues with finals at Marin Center, keeping top-tier stand-up within easy reach for Mill Valley audiences who love live shows.
