Man Accused Of Stabbing Attempt At El Camino Real Mobile Home Park

A 30-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday in an alleged attempt to stab another man earlier this month in Palo Alto, police said.
Edgar Donis, a Palo Alto resident, was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
Around 3 p.m. Monday, a man reported to police that another man, later identified as Donis, allegedly threatened and tried to stab him in a driveway at a mobile home park in the 3900 block of El Camino Real nearly two weeks earlier, police said.

On Aug. 5 around 6:30 p.m., the male victim and his friend, a woman in her 30s, were standing in front of her home at the Buena Vista Mobile Home Park, where Donis approached them, according to police. The woman was acquaintances with Donis, who allegedly brandished a small knife he threatened to use on the victim, police said.
The woman was able to persuade Donis to leave, but moments later Donis returned to find the victim was by himself outside the home and caught his attention, according to police. The victim walked up to Donis, who allegedly took out the same knife, made more threats and tried to stab him, police said.

The victim was able to avoid getting stabbed and went back to his friend’s home without any injuries, according to police.
Donis was arrested without incident around 1 a.m. Tuesday at a service station parking lot near the mobile home park, police said. Donis was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail, where he is being held on $25,000 bail, according to jail records.
