CSUSM Launches Business Program in Temecula

California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) at Temecula is expanding its degree offerings this fall with the new Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). This business degree, designed for the busy working professional on a budget, is the first of its kind offered at CSUSM’s southwest Riverside County campus.

Courses required for the new two-year (five-semester) program are identical to those offered for the BSBA on the San Marcos campus, balancing theory with application and incorporating writing, presentation and group work skills. Students will actively engage in immersive learning with local community leaders, businesses and organizations. A special feature of the program is Senior Experience, a culminating learning project unique to CSUSM.

The BSBA is cohort-based which means that students complete all their courses together. Because of the lockstep process, course placement and timely graduation are guaranteed. Students also enjoy the collaborative learning that takes place within the cohort model, giving them the ability to form lasting relationships and a professional network that supports them during the degree program and beyond.

For acceptance into the BSBA program, students are required to have completed 24 semester units in “pre-business” core courses with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applications are reviewed and evaluated on an on-going, rolling basis. The program is offered as a partnership between CSUSM’s College of Business Administration and Extended Learning.
