Earthquake Swarm Strikes RivCo; Dozens Of Small Temblors Reported
If you felt the earth moving... and then moving some more... you're not going crazy.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Residents in Riverside County have been feeling the earth shaking a bit more than normal in the last day. U.S.G.S. data shows that dozens of earthquakes, most of them very small but some greater than 2.5, struck within the last 24 hours.
The latest quake that people most likely felt happened at 9:51 p.m. Wednesday. That was a 2.7 magnitude temblor east of Temecula, centered in the in the Aguanga area. Earlier in the day, a 2.9 quake hit at 4:30 p.m. in the same area, according to U.S.G.S. data.
A magnitude-3.9 earthquake struck 34 miles south-southeast of Palm Springs at 6:36 p.m. Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. That region had been hit by a 2.5 magnitude quake a few hours prior, at 3:39 p.m.

Also on Wednesday, a magnitude 3.2 earthquake was recorded just north of Moreno Valley Wednesday morning. No reports of injuries or damage were immediately reported, but residents throughout the Inland Empire felt the shaker at 9:52 a.m.
Data shows a total of 51 earthquakes were reported throughout the Inland Empire in approximately the same time period.
