8 of 11 Marin County Measures Pass
Measures A and B fall short of the required two-thirds approval.

MARIN COUNTY, CA -- With 100 percent of the vote counted, voters in Marin County appear to have passed eight of 11 local measures on the ballot.
Measure A, a quarter-cent sales tax to support health, education and safety of underserved children, needed two-thirds approval to pass but received only 63 percent approval.
Measure B, an annual $1,600 per year parcel tax in the Kentfield School District, received 57.7 percent approval, short of the two-thirds it needed to pass.

Measure C, an extension of a one-half percent sales and use tax in Fairfax, received 76.6 percent approval. It needed only a majority of the vote to win.
Measure E, the Mill Valley School District's extension of an existing $980 annual parcel tax, was just short of passing with 66.3 percent of the vote. It needs two-thirds approval.

Measure G, the Novato Unified School District's $222 million bond measure, barely passed. It needed 55 percent approval and had 56.6 percent early Wednesday morning.
Voters in Mill Valley approved Measure H, a renewal of a $266 annual Municipal Service Tax for fire safety, street maintenance and road repair. It needs two-thirds approval and received 77.3 percent.
Ross voters reauthorized a special annual parcel tax of $970 to maintain public services. Measure K received 78 percent approval and needed two-thirds of the vote.
Voters in the Muir Beach Community Services District passed Measure L, a $213 annual parcel tax for fire protection and emergency services. It received 77.5 percent approval and needed two-thirds of the vote.
Voters in the Marin County Service Area 17-1 Kent Woodlands approved an increase of a special tax for sheriff's deputy patrol services from $260 to $360 a year. Measure M required two-thirds approval and got 68.8 percent of the vote.
Marin County Service Area 17-1 Kentfield Woodlands' voters also approved Measure N, a special tax of $100 a year to buy and install license plate readers. It received 72 percent approval and needed two-thirds to pass.
An increase in an existing $1,200 annual parcel tax to $1,500 narrowly passed in the County Service Area 29. It received 68.8 percent approval approval.
The Measure O tax pays for ongoing maintenance dredging in Paradise Cay and in the north and south entries to San Francisco Bay. It required two-thirds approval.
