Barkfest 2, the annual fundraiser at Dogbone Meadow dog park in Novato, will be raising money for a small-dog area within the park this Sunday.
The free event will feature 20 booths/tables of vendors and exhibitors, many who will give out freebies. A costumed dog contest starts at 1:30 p.m.; if you don't have a costume, Klyde Street Pet Shop will have some for sale at their vendor table. Make sure to watch the 2 p.m. agility training demonstration by a trainer from the Marin Humane Society. Don't miss the bake sale and facepainting station.
More than 30 raffle prizes — including gift certificates for local restaurants and stores — will be awarded throughout the afternoon. The silent auction will include some fantastic items worth from $50 to $500.
