The city recently launched "Business Counter," an online tool to help businesses navigate Novato's permit process.
"Small businesses are the core of our local economy," said Community Development Director Bob Brown. “Understanding the zoning and permitting process for a small business owner can be daunting. We are thrilled to offer an interactive tool like Business Counter that's available 24/7 to allow a prospective business owner to search for appropriate locations and to determine upfront the types of necessary permits and costs before any leases are signed or expenditures made."
