Novato Teen Arrested in Stabbing Case
Suspect is accused of assaulting a minor over drugs.

Novato Police officers who responded to a call about a person who'd been stabbed at a bus stop eventually arrested a teenage suspect and charged him with the crime.
At about 1:54 pm on Sat., October 22, Novato Police Dept. dispatch received a call of a person who had been stabbed at the bus stop near the intersection on Nave Drive and Main Gate Road.
The responding officers reported discovering several juveniles with injuries, one of whom had been cut several times with a knife. The investigation led officers to believe that the altercation began as an attempt to take marijuana from one of the involved parties.

Police say that after identifying and interviewing all the involved parties, Edwin Galvez, a 19-year-old Novato resident was identified as the person who stabbed the juvenile victim. Police have said Galvez will be booked at the Marin County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon, while the juvenile who was stabbed will be cited and released on robbery charges.
