12 Mobile Homes Evacuated Due To Sinkhole Near Vista-Oceanside Border

The evacuation affected 17 residents and seven pets.

VISTA, CA — Twelve mobile homes are under evacuation orders due to flooding and a sinkhole near the border of Vista and Oceanside, according to authorities.

Officials were dispatched shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday to the Green Valley mobile home park in the 2100 block of Sunset Drive in Vista, authorities said. Seventeen residents and seven pets were affected and were receiving assistance from numerous police and fire agencies as well as the American Red Cross, according to authorities.

The flooding and sinkhole occurred in the 3500 block of Sky Haven Lane in Oceanside, which was closed Thursday between Emerald Drive and Sundown Lane, authorities said.
