- The two-vehicle accident occurred on the southbound side of state Route 163 near Interstate 5, the CHP reported.

Customer Fires BB Gun At Jack In The Box In El Cajon: Police
- "There was a disgruntled customer, he pulled out a BB gun and fired it at the glass," El Cajon Police Lt. Royal Bates said.

- The man was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Escondido Man Found Guilty Of Murdering Mother With Claw Hammer
- Jurors deliberated about one day before finding 26-year-old David Noel McGee Jr. guilty of killing 55-year-old Rebecca "Becky" Apodaca.
- Timothy Nathaniel Wilson Jr., a 10-year department veteran, was ordered held on $200,000 bail.
Ex-Camp Pendleton Marine Convicted In Southern CA Murder Spree
- Andrew Urdiales, 53, faces a possible death sentence for his Southern California killing spree.
- The nine men and one woman aboard the small fishing boat were all Mexican citizens, officials said.
Body Found Floating In Mission Bay
- The body of a possible drowning victim was found floating in San Diego's Mission Bay Tuesday.
Domestic Violence Suspect Arrested After San Diego SWAT Standoff
- Patrol officers were sent to the neighborhood in the 6800 block of Potomac Street about 5:15 a.m., according to San Diego police.
- Five people were injured, one seriously, in a courtyard brawl at a Chula Vista apartment building, authorities said.
Ex-Marine And Camp Pendleton Fireman Sentenced For Child Porn
- William Francis Walsh IV, 55, of Vista, was sentenced to more than 17 years in prison for possession of child pornography.
- The handguns were stolen from a Norwalk store earlier this month and may be in the San Diego area.
North County Woman Allegedly Stabs Husband During Fight
- Christena Potter, 46, allegedly knifed her spouse at their home on Flower Lane in Vista shortly after midnight Sunday, officials said.
Arson Fire Damages Franklin Elementary School In San Diego
- The fire caused about $20,000 worth of damage to the exterior of the building and destroyed about $1,000 worth of contents, officials said.
Man Who Tried To Kidnap Teen In Encinitas Sentenced To Prison
- Jeremiah Owens, 28, pleaded guilty in April to attempted kidnap for rape of a minor.
Accident At Crematorium Sends Human Ashes Into South Bay Air
- The smoke came from Cortez Cremations and Funeral Services in National City.
- Gregory Gavino recently suffered a major stroke, has partial paralysis on the right side of his body and walks with a limp, police said.
