DUI Driver Hits Parked Car On Petaluma Street: Police
BREAKING: It was the second such arrest in as many days.

PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police arrested a Bear Valley man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol early Monday morning after he allegedly hit a parked car, causing major damage to the car and forcing it into a local roadway. Officers responded to D Street at 8th Street at about 3 a.m. to find a Honda Civic obstructing the roadway, with debris strewn about, Petaluma police Sgt. Garrett Glaviano said in a news release.
Based on damage to the car, paint transfer and debris, officers determined the Civic had been legally parked when it was struck from behind and pushed into the roadway, Glaviano said.
About an hour after arriving at the scene, officers found 38-year-old Bear Valley resident Brandon Pinner Wolcott walking in the area, the sergeant said.

Wolcott reportedly told officers he was looking for his vehicle.
Officers then asked Wolcott to take field sobriety tests, during which he allegedly demonstrated signs of impairment, Glaviano said.

In a separate incident early Sunday morning, a Novato man was arrested on suspicion of DUI when he also hit a parked car in Petaluma.
