Clayton Fire Keeps Growing; Containment Still 5% [UPDATE]
Some 1,500 structures threatened.

LAKE COUNTY, CA – The Clayton Fire in Lake County continues to burn aggressively and now has consumed 4,000 acres of woodland and heavy brush, plus roughly 175 structures, according to Cal Fire.
Details on the type of buildings were not available. CAl Fire's Damage Assessment Team soon will begin documenting destroyed and damaged structures.
Some 1,500 structures currently are threatened, the agency said.

This is day three of the fire, first reported Saturday evening off Highway 29 and Clayton Creek Road.
Firefighters at the scene now total 1,664, up from the 1,044 this morning, Cal Fire said, adding that containment still is recorded at 5 percent.
