• Piedmont Adult Recreation Expo seeks exhibitors (piedmontexedra.com) — Piedmont is recruiting local groups now for its third annual Adult Recreation Expo, set for November 15 at the Veterans Memorial Building. Nonprofits and program providers can exhibit for free, with tables and chairs provided, but must sign up by September 14 and staff their tables for the full event to connect with hundreds of local adults.
   

• Prep football roundup: Marin Catholic, San Marin open with losses (marinij.com) — A Monte Vista quarterback who transferred from Piedmont helped power a 27-10 win over Marin Catholic with multiple long touchdown passes. • LDF Continues to Demand Accountability in Court After California City Illegally Seized Black Homeowner's Property (naacpldf.org) — A California court has told the Legal Defense Fund it may continue its lawsuit over the historic seizure of Sidney and Iréne Dearing's home by the City of Piedmont, but only with amended claims. The civil rights group plans to strengthen its case seeking accountability, possible compensation, and an apology for the Dearings' loss of property and generational wealth.
