Residents are urged to call 9-1-1 if they suspect a local fire, and to use this as a reminder to review evacuation plans and refresh wildfire go-bags.
   

• Piedmont strong at tournament (piedmontexedra.com) — Piedmont High's boys water polo team had a strong showing at the James Logan Labor Day Tournament, winning two of three games against regional opponents. Led by standout scoring from Rylan Patty and Henry Stein, the Highlanders now turn their focus to hosting Clayton Valley on Sept. 9, giving local fans a chance to cheer them on at home.
