Police were called around 5:23 p.m. Wednesday by a homeowner who received a motion alert from his security system with surveillance footage showing a male ransacking his house in the 700 block of Montevino Drive in Pleasanton. Responding officers saw a man inside a Honda Accord at the home, but the driver sped off south on Montevino, police said.
