Firefighters Investigating Moller Ranch Fire
The fire could be seen as far away as the Livermore Airport Tower.

Livermore Pleasanton Fire officials are investigating the cause of a vegetation fire that started behind the 8000 block of Moller Ranch Dr. around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday night.
The fire, located at the base of the Pleasanton Ridge, was reported by numerous residents, including the Livermore Airport Tower, Battalion Chief Paul Legasa in a statement.
âThis fire had potential to spread into the Pleasanton Ridge wilderness area, and also threaten residences,â Legasa said. âA fire at this location is considered a Wildland-Urban Interface Fire, and poses challenges to suppression forces when allocating fire resources to both fire control and structure protection.â

âThe fire was quickly contained to one and a half acres,â Legasa said. âThe existence of a defensible space between the wildland and the Moller Ranch residences was of great assistance to the suppression efforts. No residences were damaged, and no injuries to civilians or fire fighters resulted from this incident.â
