Get Inspired! Holiday Hosting Cooking Classes at New Leaf Community Markets
Take one or all three demonstration cooking classes on Nov 16 & 17

If you are looking for fresh ideas for holiday recipes this season, you will find them at New Leaf Community Market in Pleasanton on November and 16 and 17! The organic and natural market is hosting three cooking demonstration classes presented by popular, local chefs. Each class includes instruction and demonstration and plenty of sampling! The cost to attend any class is $5.
On Wednesday, November 16, Certified Health Coach Kim Rice will demonstrate how to prepare three delicious, gluten-free and Paleo-inspired side dishes: Kale and Butternut Squash Sautée, Brussels Sprouts with Almonds and Cranberries, and Grain-Free Paleo Focaccia Rolls. Following the demonstration, R ice will give an optional store tour featuring healthy ingredient choices. This class will be held 6 pm – 7:30 pm.
On Thursday, November 17, New Leaf’s Product Enthusiast, Chef Claudia Imatt will give a class on how to make Puff Pastry Pesto Parmesan Palmiers, Spinach and Gruyere Pinwheels, and Sweet Cinnamon Straws. This class will take place 4 pm – 5:30 pm.

Following Chef Imatt’s class, Holistic Chef Suzanne Aziz will give a class on vegetarian, gluten-free holiday side dishes: Stuffing with Mushrooms, Cashew Butter, Roasted Pumpkin Soup, Holiday Power Salad with leafy greens, persimmons and spiced pecans, and Pomegranate Vinaigrette Dressing. This event will be held 6 pm –7:30 pm.
