The county’s Redistricting Advisory Committee will meet in each of the county’s five districts. At each meeting, the county will present an overview of the redistricting process, including the laws, principles and timelines that guide it. The presentation includes population data and information about how the public can be involved.
The county’s committee is the citizen’s panel charged with gathering public opinion on how to adjust the county’s district boundaries to balance their populations. Such balancing is required by law every 10 years following the Census.
