San Diego County Re-Districting Meetings

The county’s Redistricting Advisory Committee will meet in each of the county’s five districts. At each meeting, the county will present an overview of the redistricting process, including the laws, principles and timelines that guide it. The presentation includes population data and information about how the public can be involved.

The county’s committee is the citizen’s panel charged with gathering public opinion on how to adjust the county’s district boundaries to balance their populations. Such balancing is required by law every 10 years following the Census.

Each meeting begins at 6 p.m. The dates and places are:

April 20: Chula Vista Council Chambers, 276 Fourth Ave.

April 25: La Mesa City Council Chambers, 8130 Allison Ave.

April 27: San Marcos City Council Chambers, 1 Civic Center Dr.

April 28: Solana Beach Council Chambers 635 S. Hwy. 101.

May 3: County Operations Center Annex, Planning Commission Hearing Room, 5201 Ruffin Rd., San Diego.
