Assemblyman Tim Donnelly has been charged with two misdemeanors. He was detained by Ontario Airport Police because he reportedly carried a loaded weapon in his luggage.

Assemblyman Tim Donnelly has been charged with two misdemeanors for bringing a loaded gun with him last month into Ontario International Airport, according to several media reports.

Donnelly was charged on Friday with carrying a loaded firearm in public without a concealed weapons permit and possessing a gun in an airport, both misdemeanors, according to reports.

The assemblyman did not appear for his court hearing on Friday, according to the Press-Enterprise. His attorney, former Riverside County District Attorney Rod Pacheco, waived Donnelly’s arraignment and entered a not guilty plea on his behalf, the paper reported.
