Constitution Celebrated at Redlands Event

The anniversary of the document was commemorated at schools and events across the country, including outside A.K. Smiley Library on Saturday.

Volunteers and community members participated Saturday during a Constitution Day event on the lawn outside the A.K. Smiley Library and Lincoln Memorial Shrine in Redlands.

There was crafts, music and stories about the history of the document, which is celebrating its 224th anniversary this year. People got to sign their name to rolls as part of a constitution display, and local art displayed.
