Loma Linda Planning Commission to Discuss Relocation of Car Dealership

Nader's Auto Sales is seeking the commission's support of a renovation to the old medical supply store on Redlands Boulevard.

The next step in bringing Nader’s Auto Sales into Loma Linda will be discussed at Wednesday’s Planning Commission meeting.

Nader’s, a new and used auto dealership, is planning on moving from its current home on Redlands Boulevard in Redlands into a facility near Quaid Harley Davidson in the Loma Linda Auto Center.

The commission is asked to support a renovation of an existing facility that used to be a medical supply store.

The move means a financial gain in sales tax for Loma Linda. The city is facing a tight budget and may be forced to make cuts to police services and staff.

The auto plaza, located between Redlands Boulevard and Interstate 10 near South Richardson Street, will be expanded to 45 acres. The proposed dealership would sit on five acres and abut the Harley dealership on the south.

Spreen Honda, Hyundai Inland Empire and Quaid Harley Davidson are already located at the center and contribute greatly to the city’s financial well-being, city officials said.
