More Than 27,000 Marijuana Plants Seized in Mountains Near Big Bear
Two grows were located Tuesday in the Bear Creek and Siberia Creek watersheds near Big Bear Lake, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Local and federal investigators found two marijuana grows Tuesday in the mountains near Big Bear Lake and seized more than 27,000 plants, according to the Sheriff's Department.
The grows were located in the Bear Creek and Siberia Creek watersheds, along with a caretakers' camp, irrigation lines and trash, according to the sheriff's Public Affairs Division.
No suspects were at the site and their identity was unknown, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Marijuana Eradication Team, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the United State Forest Service and members of the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting took part in the operation.
"The marijuana grows contained nearly 28,000 plants that were in various stages of growth," from 8 inches to 4 feet in height, according to the Sheriff's Department.
