Neil Derry Saves Community Center
The third district supervisor, who serves Redlands and Loma Linda, helped secure funds that paid for the installation of a well that kept the Johnson Valley Community Center from closing.
San Bernardino County Third District Supervisor Neil Derry is credited with saving the Johnson Valley Community Center from closure by helping secure funding for a new water well.
According to officials with the community center, the Environmental Health Services prohibits the hauling in of water use in a facility, which is how center got its water for more than 50 years.
Drilling a well was cost prohibitive to the center, so Supervisor Neil Derry helped secure funding, center officials wrote in a statement released on Youtube.

"The new well not only serves the community center, but also now serves the County Fire Department building behind the community center," according to community center staffers. "Neil Derry fights for the people of San Bernardino County!"
