Redlands City Hall Hours Changing

City Hall will once again be open on alternate Fridays.

Furloughs that have been in place since February 2009 are ending for most city employees in Redlands, and City Hall will now return to office hours from three years ago.

The move is being made following the approval of the fiscal year 2012-2013 budget, which the City Council approved on June 19.

According to a press release from the city’s Public Information Officer Carl Baker, most offices in the Civic Center complex will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on alternating Fridays - in July, that will be the 13th and the 27th.

The One Stop Permit Center, Development Services and City Treasurer’s Office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on each of those days.

After furloughs began in 2009, City Hall was closed every Friday to accommodate the reduced hours of about 75 employees. According to Baker, under the 2012-2013 budget, furloughs for all civilian employees and fire department employees will expire on June 30.
