Redlands + Loma Linda Motorists: NB 215 Closure Lifted Ahead of Schedule

The closures on northbound Interstate 215 in San Bernardino were lifted at 1 p.m. Sunday about 17 hours ahead of schedule, according to San Bernardino Associated Governments.

The closures were part of the ongoing $720 million widening project local officials call the "Big Shift."

Motorists traveling from Redlands and Loma Linda were warned last week to avoid northbound Interstate 215 in San Bernardino all weekend.

The closures on the northbound 215 were announced in advance from 11 p.m. Friday May 4 to 6 a.m. Monday May 7.
