Ways to Conserve Water

Loma Linda encourages residents to conserve water. Now may be the best time as more accurate water meters may raise your bill.

Cutting the large workload for city crews, modernizing equipment and cutting the cost of water to the city are not the only reasons behind the installation of new water meters throughout Loma Linda.

City officials hope it will inspire residents to find ways to conserve water. Not only is it important for the planet, it is also the law, said Loma Linda officials.

Senate Bill x7-7 was enacted in November 2009, requiring all water suppliers to increase water use efficiency. The bill sets a goal of reducing urban water use by 20 percent by Dec. 31, 2020.
