Blog: Setting the Record Straight on False Accusations

Desperate times lead to desperate measures.

FOR THE RECORD

Mr. Light,

Your libelous commentary, wrongful postings and accusations in attempts to defame our credibility ONLY proves the depth, breadth, and extent to which you choose to mislead and deceive this community. If your measure were substantial and foolproof—why do you continue behaving in this manner? Your harassment is not becoming of a city council candidate.

Your reckless disregard for the truth, failure to listen, and refusal to understand such a basic concept are not respectable leadership qualities the residents in this community deserve.

I (Lisa Rodriguez) am NOT in the photo you and other No Power Plant supporters are excessively posting. We are curious why you are continuing to disparage our citizen’s group for doing what we have a right to do—oppose Measure A—for all the reasons listed on revitalizeredondo.org.

As I have already explained in my disclaimer to Dawn Esser’s false allegations in the Beach Reporter on Feb. 21, “Redondo Beach United for a NO Vote on Measure A” is a citizen’s PAC #1354264 fully supported by Redondo residents. We are NOT formed nor funded by AES. We are NOT PAID advocates for AES. There are no members from Redondo Beach United in the photo posted. There are no members paid or supported by AES in our citizen’s PAC. This is verifiable by Ms. Eleanor Manzano, City Clerk.

We stand with the mayor, four out of five city councilmen, community leaders, residents, in the shared goal of defeating Measure A.

Lisa & Doug Rodriguez
